Capital H - Western Cape - Our client in the Financial Services industry, is looking for a Senior Banking Operations Manager who can take their banking business to the next level. The ideal candidate must be experienced in modern and digital banking, has some senior management experience and have a relevant university qualification. Role Description: Key responsibilities will include amongst others the following: Oversight and management of the operational framework to support customer acquisition and ongoing support processes. Responsible for continuous re-engineering of banking processes towards Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and keeping up with trends in the retail banking ecosystem. Monthly SLA management of key contracted external and internal stakeholders which includes review, escalation and governance. Provide Back Office administration functions related to Banking Operations. Work closely with the business unit’s compliance team to ensure the optimal operational implementation thereof, as it pertains to various legislative and regulatory requirements. Manage regulatory and compliance key stakeholder relationships as it pertains to existing and new initiatives. Ensure operational excellence around change management, which includes the approval of deployments that impact Banking Operations. Involvement in UAT testing (to ensure requirements are met), co-ordination around deployments, and post implementation health checks. Complete business analyses documentation, impact analysis and review of all Banking Operations changes. Review and update contractual requirements and related SLA impacts of the change. Maintenance of processes and standard operating procedures impacted by the change. Ownership and maintenance of Banking Operations processes and standard operating procedures, daily MIS reporting and exception management, within the construct of the agreed SLA parameters. Key Result Areas: Change Management Monitors and controls the changes at a strategic and operational level. Ensure operational excellence around change management. Maintenance of processes and standard operating procedures impacted by the change Review and update contractual requirements and related SLA impacts of the change Compliance Accountable for governance and compliance at an operational level. Ensures compliance by implementation of compliance risk management & monitoring plans. Customer Management Accountable for the management of SLAs with key stakeholders Deals with complex customer escalations. Manages overall relationships with key clients from a service and administration perspective. Operational Efficiency Accountable for execution of tactical business plans at strategic and operational level. Ensures the effectiveness and appropriateness of operational processes. Makes major strategic and operational decisions within business plan. Owns operational efficiency and quality. Team Effectiveness Balances own priorities with directing and motivating others. Creates a climate for optimal performance. Guides and directs staff to achieve operational excellence standards. Individually accountable for staff time, tasks and output quality, over periods of 3 months to a year. Manages between one and twenty-four staff members. Role Qualifications and Experience: Matric plus relevant tertiary qualification, preferably a Master’s degree 5 - 8 years’ relevant experience in modern and digital retail banking 3 - 5 years’ senior management experience Experience working with and implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) within a retail bank In keeping with our client’s employment equity requirements, only South African citizens will be considered.
