Khewija Engneering and Construction - Secunda, Mpumalanga - Job Description: Under limited supervision: - Taking care of the Overall Planning function from bidding phase to the Construction Phase of Projects. - Set up Planning Software to ensure the Software will function correctly once Progress updates are done throughout the Project. - Must be able to read and interpret complex Technical Documents and develop Construction schedules from Scope of Work and Works Information documents with minimal input from Supervisors and other stakeholders. - Develop Overall Construction Programmes in Microsoft Projects / Primavera P6, complying with Standard Planning Practices. - Develop Bid Schedules in Microsoft Projects/Primavera P6, complying with Standard Planning Practices. - Resource & Cost Load Project Programme. - Be able to analyse the Project Programme for any Software glitches and be able to find work around solutions to problems that might arise. - Liaise with Contractors to obtain Construction Programmes and incorporate the Contractor Programmes into the Master Programme. - Manage Contractor planners to ensure timeous reporting from Contractors on a weekly basis. - Chair Progress meetings with Contractors and the Employer on Projects. - Develop, update and maintain the Reporting Documents as per the Contract requirements. - Produce Weekly & Monthly Reports as per the Contract Requirements. - Develop and maintain Project S-Curves. - Develop the EVM Database for the Project as well as update the EVM Report as per Contract requirements. - Manage scope changes, delays, disruptions etc and assist the Project Manager in demonstrating the impact to the Programme. - Develop Recovery Programmes (If and when required). - Issue Two Week Look Ahead schedules to all disciplines. - Report on Critical Path Activities and any changes to the Critical Path to all team members. - Communicate Project status to Lead Planner on Weekly basis. - Maintain good working relationship with the Employer and Contractors. Special Qualities or Experience Required: - Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project Professional (2016 or later version) and Primavera P6. - Be an advanced user in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Analytical skills to identify & resolve software problems. - Must be able to work in a fast paced environment under pressure. Qualifications: - Essential: Primavera P6 Advanced Certification, minimum 8 years' experience in Construction Planner Role within a Petrochemical environment, understand complex Engineering Drawings, BOQ's and Works Information documents to develop detailed Construction schedules, Shutdown experience. - Desirable: Field experience (Trade in a Petrochemical environment on sites) Work location: - Secunda Assignment duration: - ±12 Months... - Permanent - Full-time
