Carmen Tubaro & Associates - Western Cape - Kloof, KwaZulu-Natal - A large international Advertising Agency based in Durban seeks an experienced Managing Director to direct, lead and co-ordinate the overall operational activities of the Company. The incumbent will report to the Group CEO. Preference will be given to individuals who have managed large national/international retail marketing accounts and who are willing to work long hours and have the ability to build strong and lasting relationships with varied clients. Business Management & Implementation Direct the overall activities of the company whilst reporting to the Group CEO. Set and direct the delivery of the income targets for each client account Deliver business initiatives that enhance the development of skills, knowledge and good practice Through research and actively networking within the industry, ensure that the company is at the forefront of strategic planning and innovation and that is shared across your peer group and throughout the team Deliver strategic solutions when necessary to achieve higher quality within the confines of cost and time ensuring that any change is clearly communicated across the business To implement change within the business to achieve operational excellence Maintain social, legal, ethical and regulatory parameters for marketing activities by ensuring that activities are in line with regulatory frameworks and legal considerations Client Management and Business Development To ensure clear understanding of the clients strategic and operational requirements and communicate this to your team To ensure development and maintenance of strong revenue generated business relationships with current and prospective Group clients Through close relationships with your clients, continuously develop the strategic direction of each client account and ensure communication of any directional changes to your team Deliver high standards of client satisfaction, measuring this through feedback, surveys, response to campaigns and continuously adapting and adjusting approaches to benefit client needs To actively pursue business development opportunities with your client accounts, selling additional services wherever possible To actively network within the Industry to identify and create potential leads, contracts, opportunities To share knowledge and best practices across the teams and company To support the delivery of New Business into the company through leadership or involvement of pitch project work and delivery Identify areas of growth on existing business Financial Management To manage and monitor the income from all client accounts Ensure invoicing and financial administration is of a high standard to keep income coming into the company Drive excellence in financial management through your team To achieve or exceed of all key financial targets for the company To drive all daily business activity towards the achievement of business P&I targets To drive the ethos of cost control and income growth all the way through your staff People To support the pro-active recruitment and development of the best staff of the company To utilise human resources productively to maximise service for the client and income for company To manage the performance direct business reports to continuously achieve or better income targets set To drive the brand through all people management activities, specifically amongst the future business leaders Create clear development plans for direct business reports in line with business and individual needs Recommend salary levels in accordance with individual performance and market rates A Business Management Degree or related qualification +- 8 years advertising industry experience with significant experience in Marketing and Strategy development Excellent understanding of key industry influences and competition Must have proven experience as a Senior Account Director of a successful account group or large account Must have proven capability to lead and manage a team Excellent financial and commercial skills Excellent presentation skills Excellent relationship management skills Excellent negotiation skills Creative skills Ability to drive business performance whilst maintaining morale, motivation and commitment Passionate Honest Courage Creative Market related.... - Permanent - Full-time
