Job Responsibilities Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. Staff surveys etc.). Achieve business strategy (e.g. Green Strategy) by participating and supporting corporate social responsibility initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve or enhance business processes and methodologies by researching; developing; implementing and recommending improvement initiatives (e.g. continuous auditing; and effective ways to operate and add value to Nedbank). Enhance the skills of audit staff by developing the ACL training manual; providing training to audit teams and sharing professional knowledge through coaching sessions. Obtain buy-in for data analysis by presenting outcome of proposed value-adding assurance to GIA so that increased assurance can be achieved in less time. Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management. Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning curriculum activates are completed within specified timeframes. Ensure resource allocation is adequate and meets budget and time-line requirements by assessing allocated hours against work to be performed. Source data to analyse and support control tests through interaction with vendor; client or relevant data warehouse/source. Test data quality by importing data into analysis tool by highlighting and/or identifying discrepancies in file format or file content and enabling appropriate corrective action to be taken. Analyse data and ensure accuracy through applying various scenarios and through taking and enabling appropriate corrective action. Comply with GIA methodology and data analysis practice by documenting and planning fieldwork outcomes on relevant audit tool. Perform analysis in support of GIA assurance work by designing and executing tests in the relevant audit tool. Review and test data analysis results by confirming against the user requirements. Ensure data analysis results are delivered and contingency options are considered by escalating data analysis problems to relevant management. Contribute to GIA assurance work by documenting results from analysis performed and raise exceptions or control breakdowns; where relevant; on relevant audit tool. Ensure that deliverables can be achieved within allocated hours by providing input into allocation of hours required for data analysis; through estimating hours for planning and fieldwork; and by tracking utilised hours and assessing work to be completed within set timeframe. Support auditors in providing increased assurance of audit findings to clients by analysing auditing data; recommending and by highlighting potential control breakdowns on audit procedures to auditors. Gain an understanding of client requirements and environment by walk-throughs; meetings; workshops; research and by verifying that audit results and advice given meet client requirements and that risk and controls are in order. Provide professional advice; quality end product and input during audit planning and fieldwork; by meeting with clients. Identify best practices and resolve issues/problems by interacting with peers and stakeholders; and through engagements in industry forums.
