Prostaff Recruitment - East Rand, Gauteng - Minimum requirements for the role: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Logistics or Business or Engineering or related is essential. Previous management experience overseeing a team of supply, demand and material planners is essential. Previous working experience within a demand and/or supply chain environment or a production planning environment within a manufacturing or distribution or related company is essential. Previous experience having worked on and being familiar with supply chain and ERP systems is essential. Previous experience conducting and facilitating DRM. Previous experience working with global principals to implement, improve and control them is preferred but not essential. Must understand the principles of planning. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel). Previous experience having implemented and managed S&OPs in a company is essential. Must have excellent interpersonal, time-management and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to engage with internal stakeholders and external partners is essential. Must be able to demonstrate analytical and fact-based decision making. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing, training and coaching the Planning Team to drive continuous improvement of the supply planning process and manage PP&D process for direct reports. Identifying and implementing best practices to improve results for identified reporting metrics. Managing the supply/demand balance in collaboration with the Demand Planner when there is abnormal demand, supply issues arise and when customer requirements are truly outside the capability of the supply chain to deliver. Monitoring the supply plan performance (MPS feasibility and schedule adherence) by measuring actual versus planned performance at multiple planning levels and working with planners to improve performance. Representing supply chain in product introductions or acquisition integrations. Providing management with ideas on how to maximize service performance and minimise inventory investment. Evaluating product sourcing networks and vendors to ensure best service and quality at a competitive price. Developing the yearly volume budgeting process for respective divisions and ensuring the integration of new product development and SKU rationalisation plans into the annual volume budget process. Establishing annual high-level manufacturing plans for internal plants and co-packers ensuring plans are created according to plant manufacturing capacities. Ensuring products are available to meet or exceed service, quality and cost objectives. Representing supply planning at the demand review meeting as part of the S&OP process.
