To apply techniques to work as a liaison amongst stakeholders in order to understand business and technical (IT) problems; opportunities; needs; structure; policies and operations of the organisation at large; high risk and complex projects. To recommend solutions that enable the organisation to achieve its goals. To elicit and analyse the actual needs of the stakeholders; facilitate communication between organisational units and play a central role in aligning the needs of business units with the capabilities delivered by information technology and may serve as a translator between these groups. The senior BA has years of deep practical experience in the role; with repeated practice performing business analysis in a variety of complex situations. The senior BA knows what techniques to use and what influences the usage of the various techniques for the tasks. He or she works independently and may plan; supervise or lead the work of others on large projects and work efforts. The senior BA has a deep working knowledge of most; if not all; business analysis practices. Define business objectives, processes and requirements. Build, sustain and leverage relationships with persons within and outside area of immediate responsibility when gathering, validating and approving requirements. Minimum of 6 years in a senior Business Analyst role Establish relationships with stakeholders by providing guidance, oversight and/or training on compliance risks. Provide advice and/or input to internal stakeholders on possible contraventions of compliance risks through early detection of such contraventions. Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders by establishing partnerships in managing compliance risks. Engage with stakeholders formally through determining scope of work, understanding and identifying client needs. Maintain relationships with stakeholders by keeping them informed of any compliance risk related matters that may compromise their business. Ensure that stakeholder relationships are effectively managed by meeting with clients regularly and engaging with stakeholders on a formal and informal basis. Ensure awareness of business compliance status by engaging with relevant stakeholders regarding any findings and participating in management and risk committee meetings. Analyse and report on all aspects of communications coverage and impact by managing, co-ordinating and ensuring effective implementation of measurement and tracking tools. Manage budgets in line with implementation plans by keeping a running budget indicating actuals vs budget to ensure effective budget management and reporting on budgetary position as per the communications plan. Meet relevant communications guidelines to fulfil the Nedbank brand and trademark policy. Tailor Workforce Planning systems and processes by aligning talent practices with business strategic intent in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Ensure establishment and continuous improvement of Workforce Planning practices by providing thought leadership. Assist in the development of strategic workforce plans utilising mathematical, statistical and research techniques that will support the development of long-term capacity plans and workload predictions to inform the annual budget/planning process. Provide input into workforce supply and demand forecasts based on the strategic plan. Guide the execution of Workforce Planning projects by providing specialist advice, support and governance.
