MPC Recruitment - Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape - Quality Customer Care / Assembly Engineer My client in the automotive industry is seeking a Quality Customer Care / Assembly Engineer to join their team Duties Include: - Ensure improved Quality Performance by 2019 Improved Communication: - Effective communication of in plant actual metrics vs. targets -June 2019 - Provide weekly feedback to the company's team on all 8D status-May 2019 Maintain all current certification statuses for 2019: - TS16949 -Ensure compliance to procedures - Q1 - Ensure Q1 Industry commodity is maintained. Compliance to Capable systems (MMOG, ISO TS16949, EMS14001) - Review the company's customer specifics annually - ISO14001 -Ensure compliance to procedures - Quality Performance Recognition - Conduct internal systems reviews - Review all applicable quality related procedures applicable to you - all procedures to be reviewed over a 12 month period Cost Saving: - 10% Increase in overall Quality cost savings from 2018 -Reduce variation -e.g. Review process variation -November 2019 General: - Support Quality Manager with all customer and 3rd party audits - Communicate to the company team to analyze any quality concern - Ensure that customer feedback is done in good time and that all 8D feedback is reviewed by management - Validate the effectiveness of actions from customer assembly point of view - Report in a timely manner the sorting activities / design repairs performed internally and externally at our customers - Monitor customer portal daily and report open / overdue issues - Manage the contracted personnel used for containment activities - Negotiate with customer reduction of rejected pieces or cancellation - Quality War Room Team Coordinator - Ensure Quality War Room housekeeping is good at all times and that Immediate Response tracking list is kept up to date - Review Customer Requirements at least once per annum and ensure the system is updated - Support APQP Engineer activities and highlight any concerns to Quality Manager - Define APQP responsibilities and manage APQP Engineers - Ensure Deviation Process is maintained - Report monthly on Deviations / APQP activities to Quality Manager Minimum Requirements: - Technical University Degree - At least 5 years in quality department in automotive manufacturing facility - Previous experience in Harness or exposure to wiring plant advantageous - Previous experience working with customer quality resolution advantageous Required skills: - Communication skills - Perseverance - Diplomacy - Capacity to analyse problems and identify root cause and make decisions - Data and results oriented - Manage a broad functional area, Self-Motivator and Starter Please forward your CV to (email address) or alternatively apply online Ref: TJ46590 Please note that if you have not received any response in 14 days your application has been unsuccessful... - Permanent - Full-time
